My generation of recent college graduates is finding it difficult to obtain employment. We were told if we got a college degree (and for some graduate degrees) that we would be able to make a certain income, at least more than our age, but it does not seem to be the case in the current American economy. I want to know what country’s economy is currently thriving, because I would like to emigrate. I need a job, one that will help pay off school loans and doesn’t feel like a waste of a degree.

What is the process; I assume that my employer will need to obtain an employment visa from the Labor Office (how long does this normally take?) and then an application will need to made to the immigration Department (why is this and how long should it take?). What else needs to be done in order to commence employment?
