What profession or career would require the most knowledge, not including politics or civil rights activist?

ShaneLer asked:

I’ve wanted to become a doctor, but I want to learn as much as possible and be able to use it for benefits for others, and I mean in the long run. A doctor saves lives, but that doesn’t really help humanity as a whole 100 years from now. What career in life could be pursed that could make you a “Newton” or “Bach” or anyone else that brings ease to others centuries after the departing, and requests a wide arsenal of grey matter? Thanks.

What type of career can I get from studying world events, specializing in the Middle East and Africa?

interdependent globalized world asked:

I have been, for the last 1-2 years been studying current events and some of the background information on world events especially in the Middle East and Northeastern Africa. I have attempted to keep track of everything reported out of this region of the world as well as all other parts of the world.

I just graduated high school but I know an enormous amount of information.

So, what type of career, after going to college, could I get with this type of knowledge?

Would I have to write books to make a living?

How much devotion does a career in medicine require?

ksquared013 asked:

I’m a high school senior, and I’m planning on majoring in Chemical Engineering. However, I am also considering med school afterwards (to become a Family Physician, maybe.)

I know I’d have the qualifications for it, but I don’t know if everything will just be too overwhelming/strenuous. 4 years of med school + 3 years of residency + fellowship + yearly examinations + other stuff I don’t yet know about equals a huge chunk of your life during the years that most people settle down and start a family.

So I guess my question (sorry it took so long) is how much devotion does a career in medicine require? Don’t get me wrong, I like to be challenged, I’m a hard worker, but I don’t want to be “married” to my career.

So thanks for your help.

What careers could there be for someone who wants a career in history?

Garima Gupta asked:

I love history and i want to pursue a career in it but i’m not very smart. My gpa isn’t very good but when i take a higher level history class. I’d be willing to put the work in if i had to. Right now i’m looking at a career in art, i’m passionate about that but it doesn’t make sense to me like history does. History just clicks in my brain.

What is a career where you get to travel around the world alot?

dean asked:

I’m 20 years old, and struggling to choose a college major. I don’t know how others do it so easily, there is so much that I want to learn and explore and if this choice decides what I’m going to do for the rest of my life then it must be right. Its so hard for me to decide because there are so many good choices, but the thing I am most passionate about is traveling. I’m really open to anything. So what career should a person who wants to travel the world and learn new things and meet new people choose?
