What do I put into the prior employment section of my first job application?

I have been job searching a lot lately and I have got a couple applications but they all say I need to put prior employment history. What should I put instead?

recession proof jobs
I would put anything I did for volunteer work or something like that, otherwise just leave it blank.

Just leave it blank. Your education history is enough. If you’re still in school or recently out of school, they’re not expecting you to have any work history.
signs of recession
I’ve worked in HR for years. The best thing you can do it just make sure all the gaps are covered. And if you’ve had an periods where you’ve been chilling out doing nothing, write something like..you traveled. If you’ve never had a job before, you just need to include things like, good with people because…. good at time management because…and relate it to real life situations in the skills part of your Resume…. have you ever done any volunteer work…odd jobs for neighbours or family? That’s employment, just not paid.

There’s always a spot for it. If you’ve never had a job, don’t write anything. If you regularly volunteer, you can usually put that instead, but specify that it was a volunteer position. You don’t HAVE to fiill it out if you’ve never been employed (but you can’t like and leave it blank either)
